Last minute winner for the Cans

Forre Mechanics took all three league points in their  fixture away to Fraserburgh. Forres started brightly and took the lead after 14 minutes through Liam Baxter which remained that way until half-time. In the 2nd half Forres made it two when Baxter stroked home a penalty just after the hour mark but the home side had other ideas and pulled a goal back from Ryan Cowie and three minutes later they were back in the match with an equaliser from Harris. The game was not finished there and Lee Fraser hit a last minute winner and take all league points back to Forres. F/T - Fraserburgh 2 Forres 3

Forres bow out of the Scottish Cup

Forres Mechanics Scottish cup run came to a end with a 3-1 away defeat to Stenhousemuir who raced into a 2-0 lead after only 20mins which remained that way until half-time. In the 2nd half the home side hit their 3rd and then went down to 10 players which resulted in a penalty for Forres which Liam Baxter tucked away. In the final minutes of the match Forres also went down to 10 men when Craig McGovern was shown a straight red card for a late challenge. FT - Stenhousemuir 3 Forres 1.

Forres earn another Scottish Cup replay

Forres Mechanics earned yet another Scottish replay after a home draw against Scottish League one side Stenhousemuir on Saturday. Forres took the lead after 27 mins when a Simon Allan 25 yard free-kick nestled into the bottom corner of the net. The away side got themselves back into the match on the stroke of half-time through Kerr. Two minutes into the the 2nd half Stenhousemiur went in front when Furtado hooked the ball into the empty net from 20 yards. Their lead didn't last long when a Allan free-kick was floated into the box and Lee Fraser rose the highest and earn the Cans another crack in the cup next Saturday. F/T- Forres 2 Stenhousemiur 2.

Forres lose to Turriff Utd

Forres recent good winning run came to a end on Wednesday when they lost 4-1 at home to Turriff Utd. The away side took the lead after 10mins from Nowosielski but Liam Baxter brought the Cans back into the game with a penalty after 20mins and take the game into half-time all square. Turriff then came out in the second and went in front on the hour mark with a goal from Bowden and went further in front when Wozniak hit a double and send all the points back to Turriff. Forres chalk another league victory

Forres Mechanics today picked another league victory in the home match against Huntly. Two late second half goals from Graham Fraser and Scott Graham sealed the points for the Cans after they came back from a Huntly opener from Hodge after 46 mins. F/T - Forres 2 Huntly 1.

Forres win the local derby

Forres are up to eighth in the league table after a win away to local rivals Lossiemouth. Forres took the lead after 16 mins when Graham Fraser rose the highest to power a header past the Lossie goalkeeper from 6 yards. Four minutes later Forres were two nil up when Scott Graham slid a lose ball across to an unmarked John Cameron to stab home on 20 mins and take that lead into half-time. In the 2nd half Lossiemouth pulled a goal back from a Charlesworth header with sixteen minutes to go but Forres held on and take all the points back to Forres. FT - Lossiemouth 1 Forres 2.

Forres march on in the Scottish Cup

Forres Mechanics will meet Stenhousemuir in the 3rd Round of the Scottish Cup after a 4-0 win at home to Cumbernauld Colts. Forres took the lead just after 30 seconds when a great lay off from Datchi to McGovern who slid the ball inside the right post. The reminder of the half continued with both sides creating chances and also Forres having three goals chalked off for being offside. The second half continued well for the home side and again it was Datchi whos cross was met by a Lee Fraser shot which was saved but the ball rebounded to Stuart Soane who made no mistake and put the Cans in control of the match. Forres then took a three goal lead with a Lee Fraser back header over the top of the keeper and into the back of the net. The best goal was saved until the end when a corner was met by Kyle Scott who cheekly back heeled the ball into the net and put the Cans in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup. Forres earn a home Scottish Cup replay

Forres Mechanics came back from 2-1 down to earn an Scottish Cup replay away to Cumbernauld Colts. The game started well for Forres when Scott Graham opened the scoring after just four minutes. The home side then got themselves back into the game on the half hour mark when a cross was fired in Andrew Selkirk and both clubs went in even at half-time. The 2nd half came into life just after the hour mark when Colts went into the lead though Jamie Barclay but their lead was short lived as Stuart Soane headed home a well aimed cross to hit the equaliser and take the game back to Mosset Park on Saturday. Forres Mechanics took all three points away to Rothes and also hit five goals in the process. First half goals from Gordon Finlayson, Liam Baxter and Lee Fraser gave the Cans a good first half lead. Further goals from John Cameron and Stuart Soane gave the team a convincing win and much needed league points. FT - Rothes 0 Forres 5
