Forres fight back to win on pens

10 man Forres came back from 4-1 down to league leaders Buckie Thistle and win the tie on pens to march through to the 2nd round of the Highland league cup. Buckie took the lead just after 3 minutes through Shaun Wood but Forres pulled a goal back from John Cameron and were then reduced to 10 men when Groat was shown the red card. In the 2nd half Buckie raced into 4-1 lead with goals from Wood, Dorrat and Mcleod. Stuart Soane then pulled a goal back for Forres with a penalty on the hour mark just before Buckie were also reduced to 10 players when McKinnon was sent off. Five minutes later Forres were back in the game when Lee Fraser scored and ten minutes later the comeback was complete when Cameron hit his 2nd of the match and force the game into extra-time. 30 mins of extra-time resulted in no more goals and moved the game into penalties which Forres came out on top when Buckie failed to convert two of their pens and send Forres into the next round with a home tie with Cove Rangers .
