The Cans youngsters put five past stuffy West Coast opponents in this February 26th game at Sanquhar.
There were fine performances all around the team much to the delight of a substantial home support. Fielding a number of primary age players, the U13s always looked in command and pulled off some impressive passing play on a pitch which proved difficult at times for both teams. The scoring was opened by Callum McCreadie and there were doubles for Kyle Hay and Logan De Oliveira in a satisfying win which pleased coaches Charlie Watt and Allan Frisken.
Todays Cup match with Cove Rangers has been called OFF due to a waterlogged pitch. We have no news yet when the fixture will be re-arranged.
Forres came back from two goals down but couldn't prevent another league defeat away to Cove Rangers who had the lead at half-time with a double from Megginson. Stuart Soane got the Cans back into the game with a double also of his own but Cove hit the winner 15 mins from the end from Matthew MacDonald who got himself sent off three minutes later. F/T - Cove Rangers 3 Forres 2.
Forres Mechanics recent unbeaten run came to a end on Wednesday night when they lost 2-1 at home to Brora Rangers. The 1st ended goaless but Steve Ross scored two Brora goals within three minutes of each other to give the away side the advantage. Forres did pull a goal back when Captain Graeme Grant socred a very rare goal in the dying minutes but ran out of time to get something from the match. F/T - Forres 1 Brora Rangers 2
