Forres win the local derby

Written by
Forres are up to eighth in the league table after a win away to local rivals Lossiemouth. Forres took the lead after 16 mins when Graham Fraser rose the highest to power a header past the Lossie goalkeeper from 6 yards. Four minutes later Forres were two nil up when Scott Graham slid a lose ball across to an unmarked John Cameron to stab home on 20 mins and take that lead into half-time. In the 2nd half Lossiemouth pulled a goal back from a Charlesworth header with sixteen minutes to go but Forres held on and take all the points back to Forres. FT - Lossiemouth 1 Forres 2.

Cans Thrash Buckie

Written by
Forres Mechanics 8 Buckie Thistle 3 The young Cans were in tremendous form in this October 23rd fixture handing out a bit of a lesson to a gutsy Buckie outfit. On target for Forres were Callum Clark (2), Toby Clark, Callum McCreadie, Kyle Hay, Jack Millar, Lewis Mcintosh and Sean Melloy. The boys have always displayed a good attitude but have hit form recently and are a credit to their coaches, Watt, Simpson and Frisken.

Forres march on in the Scottish Cup

Written by
Forres Mechanics will meet Stenhousemuir in the 3rd Round of the Scottish Cup after a 4-0 win at home to Cumbernauld Colts. Forres took the lead just after 30 seconds when a great lay off from Datchi to McGovern who slid the ball inside the right post. The reminder of the half continued with both sides creating chances and also Forres having three goals chalked off for being offside. The second half continued well for the home side and again it was Datchi whos cross was met by a Lee Fraser shot which was saved but the ball rebounded to Stuart Soane who made no mistake and put the Cans in control of the match. Forres then took a three goal lead with a Lee Fraser back header over the top of the keeper and into the back of the net. The best goal was saved until the end when a corner was met by Kyle Scott who cheekly back heeled the ball into the net and put the Cans in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup. FT Forres 4 Cumbernauld Colts 0.

Forres earn a home Scottish Cup replay

Written by
Forres Mechanics came back from 2-1 down to earn an Scottish Cup replay away to Cumbernauld Colts. The game started well for Forres when Scott Graham opened the scoring after just four minutes. The home side then got themselves back into the game on the half hour mark when a cross was fired in Andrew Selkirk and both clubs went in even at half-time. The 2nd half came into life just after the hour mark when Colts went into the lead though Jamie Barclay but their lead was short lived as Stuart Soane headed home a well aimed cross to hit the equaliser and take the game back to Mosset Park on Saturday. FT Cumbernauld Colts 2 Forres 2.
