‘Cans legend Graham Fraser has made the difficult decision to take a step away from football due to a persistent knee injury.
The Burghead loon has been a terrific servant to the club for more than 13 years and was an integral part of the Highland League winning side from season 2011/12. From that season onwards Graham was a stalwart of the ‘Cans team and became a well-respected figure throughout the Highland League. Jointly with his twin brother Lee they have made almost 800 appearances for the club which resulted in them being awarded a testimonial last year.
Graham said “Due to an on going injury with my knee, personally I feel it’s the right time to take a step away from football”.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the players, staff & committee both past and present”.
“Finally the fans, for all the support over the last 13 years at the club. I’d like to wish everyone connected to Forres Mechanics FC all the very best for the upcoming season and future”.
He will be a huge miss at the club and he leaves with our best wishes – however we hope Graham will take up the club’s offer of it’s assistance in his rehabilitation in the hope he will pull on the chocolate and gold colours again 🤞
Meantime good luck for the future Graham and thanks for everything 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 don’t be a stranger at Mosset Park ⚽️
